Let's talk motivation for a moment...

What is motivation? According to Wikipedia....Motivation - Is the reason for people's actions, willingness and goals. Motivation is derived from the word motive which is defined as a need that requires satisfaction. These needs could be wants or desires that are acquired through influence of culture, society, lifestyle, etc. or generally innate.

Okay all good, but what does it really mean to you....that is the key, what it means to me is not what is going to mean to you.

We need to stop following other people's dreams and ideas. Find our own triggers for motivation and just do it.

How...by working out what you want to achieve...whether it is a business goal or personal, fitness, health it is yours and yours alone, it's related to you.

Your motivation should always about making the goal happen, making a plan on how, why and what it will take to get there. Make a list, find the common denominator and start.

For example, my goal could be I want to achieve saving $1000 by Christmas.

For me this might be the hardest thing ever to do and it will need major sacrifices to achieve it and for you it may be so simple. So see it's my goal, my driver, and I need to sort what my motivation will be to achieve it.

One of the motivators will be that I am going to achieve this because the satisfaction of achieving this will be a huge success and the reason I may want the money is for something so important to me, that I will fight to make it happen and not give up.

Find your motivation and stick to it, your journey, your way. Be a leader not a follower, achieve your goals by working at it yourself with your motivation not on someone's coat tails.
